Here are a few suggestions:

Go on a picnic  - The Idyllwild area features many beautiful places to enjoy a picnic. From the trails  around Lake Fulmor, to Strawberry Creek, to Indian Vista. We'll be happy to help you find the perfect spot!

Take a hike - Over 40 miles of hiking trails abound within the San Bernardino National Forest which bounds much of the area. Trails of a wide variety in difficulty and distance are available.

Go Fishing - There are two lakes within 20 minutes drive of the Lodge, so bring your pole and tackle box! Bait and tackle are available in Idyllwild

Ride a horse - Horseback riding is available at Mountain Center, just five miles due south of Idyllwild.

Here are two views of lovely Lake Hemet, about ten miles from Idyllwild. Fishing, camping, hiking, and swimming are popular activities at this natural beauty spot. As an added bonus, the scenery on the drive from Idyllwild to Lake Hemet is nothing short of spectacular!
